Your Role at Pura:

We’re hiring a software engineer to work on our iOS mobile application. This app is the way that hundreds of thousands of people control their smart Pura fragrance diffuser. From controlling the smart diffuser hardware to managing fragrance subscriptions, your code will be making a meaningful difference in how people interact with our product. You will help us inspire a belief in the power of fragrance to craft and elevate memorable moments for our Owners. This is your chance to make an impact in a high-growth company that’s redefining the way people experience scent.

What You’ll Own:

• Building out a new user experience to manage brand new diffusers for spaces other than the home
• Enhancing the controls for our existing hardware device to match new hardware capabilities
• Build native experience for managing fragrance subscriptions
• Work with our QA team to ensure the application is testable and deliverable
• Leverage existing technology to create a world class user experience in controlling the Pura Smart Home Diffuser: AWS IoT, Firebase, and Bluetooth Low Energy
• Identify areas where we can improve and work to minimize tech debt.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated emphasis on delivering quality solutions.
• Be able to own and deliver projects with little oversight.
• 3-5 years of engineering experience
• Emphasis on code quality and customer experience.
• Ability to work with remote employees using video calls and frequent written communication.
