Responsibilities:

What will my day-to-day look like as a Direct Support Professional?

• Provide opportunities through the day to help residents meet their goals.
• Adhere to the person-centered plans, and behavior plans as written for each resident.
• Provide quality of care and safe and healthy setting free from harm while upholding the rights of all residents. Create a space of trust and relationship with all residents.
• Cook meals as necessary for residents based upon food specifications, diets, food exchanges and documentation.
• Transport residents and attend appointments, advocate, and obtain necessary documentation, when needed.
• Assist with supervision of residents doing their laundry and complete facility laundry as needed.
• Administer medications to residents as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid, active Driver’s License.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred, but not required.
• 1-2 years of previous experience preferred, but not required.
• Ability to work in an environment with the potential for exposure to physical aggression
  from individuals served.
• Ability to physically and emotionally work with individuals who possess mental illness and co-occurring disorders.

Pay Range: USD $9.00 - USD $15.00 /Hr. Shift and Schedule: 1 - 1st Shift, 4 - 2nd Shift, 5 - 3rd Shift Schedule: 6am-2pm - full-time and part-time available 2pm-10pm - full-time and part-time available 10pm-6am - full-time and part-time available
