AWS Systems Administrator Location: 90% remote with 10% onsite in Washington D.C.
Citizenship required: Yes
Clearance Type: Active Secret clearance is required
On Call Requirement: Rotational availability for after-hours and/or weekends is required.
Travel Required: Travel to DMV areas up to 5 times per year.

Cloudshape is experiencing rapid growth within our IT & Engineering Portfolio. We are currently seeking a talented AWS Systems Administrator to join our growing team. This person will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and managing a secure, scalable, and highly available solutions on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform.
To be considered for this position, US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance is required. This is a funded position on a funded contract and is contingent upon verification of a security clearance prior to starting with Cloudshape. Basic Qualifications: - At least six (6) years of overall IT experience to include Windows System Administration (Active Directory, GPO, etc.) with a minimum of four (4) or more years AWS cloud experience.
- Experience with designing, managing and deploying AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch while utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Strong system troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- This person will be part of an on-call engineering team. The ability to be available for after-hours and/or weekends during their scheduled time is a requirement.
- US Citizen with an active secret security clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in Implementing version control and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for infrastructure code.
- Proficient in using the AWS CLI, PowerShell, and Python, to identify and resolve issues in an AWS environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
